F.A.Q.
Q: What if I want to upgrade my license later on because I need more pages or products?
A: No problem, but it is cheaper to get it right first time around. If you need to upgrade you will be charged for the full (then current) price for the new license, less 50% of what you actually paid for your current license.
Q: What are "Pages" and "Products"?, please explain more fully.
A: Firstly, lets think of "Pages". lets for a moment assume your site has no e-commerce facilities, it makes it easier to explain.
Your license will allow you to create up to a pre-defined number of pages.
A page is a physical web page, such as your "home" page or contact form. You may organise your pages as you like, including within sub-menus, but every physical page counts as one page. You should allow 1 page for your "confirmation" page if you have a contact form. One thing to note, if you have a sub menu, for instance under "Services". You must count the top level "Services" link as a page (there will be a physical page) as well as each of the pages listed under it. So if on the top level you have "Services" and under that you had "Web Design", and "E-commerce", that would be a total of three pages (and you would use your Services "home" page as an introduction to your services, with appropriate links. You cannot have items listed on your menus that do not count as pages, but you can have pages that are not listed on your menus (for example if you only want to link to them from within the text of another page).
Now, "Products".
Products are physical products, one product may have 100 options (10 sizes and 10 colours for example), this still only counts as one product as long as you set it up that way (i.e done set up one product with no choices for each possible combination).
You will want to organise your products into "departments" as appropriate. Each department has its own page (and you can set up text/images as well as include the products), and each product also has its "details" page. None of these departmental pages or product details pages (or search pages and checkout pages) "count" towards your license limit for "pages". The license limitation within the shop side of your site is based on the number of products, and you may organise them however you like with no concern for the number of pages they take up.
Q: Can I Host a pinkdylan "Start" or "Xtra" solution on a non-pinkdylan server?
A: No! - Your license is subject to your continued purchase of pinkdylan hosting and all copyright (other than your own content entered through admin) remains with pinkdylan. You are buying a license to use the solution on pinkdylan servers only.
